Through light: Susan Kanaga Filippo Rossi

The volume reproduces the works exhibited during summer 2017 at the Ecumenical Center of Art and Spirituality “Mount Tabor”, located in the villa “Via Sacra” in Barga (Lucca, Italy). The works of Susan Kanaga and Filippo Rossi deal with the theme of light, one of the main metaphors of Christian salvation. Both artists are inspired by their Christian faith, giving life to elaborate layers of materials that are traditional and innovative at the same time. Their artworks are made of abstract shapes and bright colors whose surface recalls the work of Medieval masters.
