Appropriate Renewal Of The Jesuit Ignatian Charism As Lived And Proposed By Father Pedro Arrupe: Glimpes Into The Heart And Theaching Of A Contemporary Spiritual Master On The Occasion Of His Birth Centenary

This slender volume, the author's personal tribute to Father Pedro Arrupe S.J. on the occasion of his birth centenary, is in the first place a response to a request made by the Secretariarfor the promotion of Ignatian Spirituality at jesuit Headquarters to offer a fairly comprehensive overview of the famous trilogy of Arrupe's talks given to the participants of the annual Ignatian Courses of 1979, 1980 and 1981. To this the author has felt interiorly impelled to append a long-desired tribute to the memory of Fr. Arrupe by taking up the larter's invitation addressed towards the end of his 1980 talk on the trinitarian inspiration of the Ignatian Spirituality namely to eextend and delve further into his own analysis of the jesuit ignatian charism.
