Called unto Him the Twelve and Began to Send them Forth: The Continuation of Jesus' Mission According to the Gospel of Mark

The continuation of the mission of Jesus, foreseen and prepared by Jesus himself represents a very important theme in the NT theology. This constitutes an evident lacuna in the contemporaty study of the gospel of Mark. There is a tendency to think only of Matthew and Luke/Acts when speaking about a postresurrection of Jesus'mission. Primary argument is that mission palys a significant role in the project, theology and structure of the gospel of Mark.
