The Land Flowing with Milk and Honey

The Canaan Land is also the Promised Land of God (Deuteronomy 11:9), and spiritually, it symbolizes the kingdom of heaven that we are longing to possess. The process of the Israelites relying on the promise of God and conquering the land flowing with milk and honey symbolically represents the spiritual battle that we face in our Christian lives. When we look into the process of the Exodus, the forty years in the wilderness, crossing the Jordan River and conquering the city of Jericho and then the Land of Canaan, we can see the life's journey of receiving salvation and marching towards the kingdom of heaven.
