Policing European Metropolises

In this remarkable special issue of the European Journal of Policing Studies (IJPS), contributors analyze the plural policing constellations and complexes in five European metropolises: Berlin, Sofia, London, Paris, and Barcelona. The central question in all analyzed cases is: to what extent is a local police force still present in European metropolises and how is this reality linked with other actors in the security field?
