The Changing Nature of Business: Institutionalisation of Green Organisational Routines in the Netherlands, 1986-1996

Which substantial changes have occurred in the last decade, with regard to the way in which Dutch firms deal with the environmental effects of their activities? The book addresses four levels of organisational change: new conceptual models; new ways of acting; alternative processes of strategic decision making; and new values. Changes on these levels are linked to mechanisms as market selection, pressure from governmental agencies, and the influence of professional education. This provides a basis for discussing the extent to which this change is fundamental.
