Sexual Offenses in International Criminal Law: Cases and Documents

In national criminal law, rape is a type of sexual assault usually involving sexual intercourse by one person against another person without the other person's consent. When it becomes part of a widespread and systematic practice, rape - as well as sexual slavery - is recognized as a crime against humanity and a war crime.
