Handbook on pressurized irrigation techniques

Irrigated agriculture has been an extremely important source of food production over recent decades. Food requirements will increase in future, while global water resources are limited. Therefore, making the best use of water for agriculture and improving irrigation efficiency are prerequisites for the future. Shifting from surface irrigation to pressurized irrigation will contribute substantially to these goals. The objective of this handbook is to provide a practical guide for irrigation and agriculture technicians and extension workers in the field. The ring binder format of the handbook will permit future update of individual chapters, which may become necessary with the rapid changing pressurized irrigation technology.
