Laboratory Diagnosis of Gonorrhoea

A practical guide, illustrated with line drawings and color plates, to the diagnosis of gonorrhoea in South-East Asian countries. The manual responds to the growing problem of antimicrobial resistance in Neisseria gonorrhoeae and the corresponding need to develop laboratory guidelines for isolation, identification and susceptibility testing of gonococci. In view of the importance of regional surveillance, the manual also includes advice on selection of the sample population the antibiotics to be tested reporting mechanisms including the use of standard reporting sheets and measures for quality control.
