The Migration of Skilled Health Personnel in the Pacific Region: A Summary Report

This report reviews the available literature and the surveys of health worker (and other skilled health personnel) migration in the Pacific region. The migration of skilled health workers poses a number of problems to maintain adequate health care provision in countries. The report looks at existing policies and how their review could influence the retention and appropriate allocation of health workers in Pacific Islands’ countries.
