Actions that Make a Difference: Report on the Prevention and Control of Noncommunicable Diseases in the Western Pacific Region 2012-2013

This report highlights the most successful work achieved with AusAID support and with the cooperation and work of Member States in the Region. "The actions that make a difference" is so-called because of consistency with the "Best Buy" interventions. They represent the most impactful and cost-effective interventions to produce accelerated results in terms of lives saved, diseases prevented and costs avoided. Other supporting achievements were also vitally important to success and are covered in some depth in the appendices.
