Mylapore to Massachusetts

Set in the 1960s era, in the center of Mylapore, a large middle-class hamlet of the modern day Chennai, this book takes you through the journey of a little boy who eventually finds himself making dramatic adjustments in Massachusetts during the 1980s and 90s.

The little boy, from a religious and orthodox family, grows up amidst rigorous and disciplined surroundings. He also observes and imbibes the culture and traditions around him. He then moves to the country of opportunities, USA, for higher education only to find himself slam-dunked into a totally diverse and different socio-economic-cultural environment. These real-life experiences are narrated in semi-fictional anecdotes laced with humor.
