The Caring Crab

Colin the Crab, the most skilful builder of the eastern riverbank, never hesitated to help his friends. After a week of hard work the blue garden pavilion of his dreams is still unfinished, and a boisterous fish family has taken over his construction site. Colin, exhausted, buries himself under the blanket and refuses to open his curtains. Colin's friends are puzzled. An emergency meeting is called for. It's time for the friends to take action. The story has been written and illustrated by Tuula Pere and translated by Päivi Vuoriaro. Tuula Pere was born in Finland, in 1958, and spent some of her important childhood years in a small village in Eastern Finland. She moved to Helsinki at the end of the 1970's when she began her studies at the University of Helsinki Faculty of Law. She got her Master's degree in 1984, majoring in international civil law and comparative law. After two decades of professional career, Tuula Pere embarked upon studies to get a Ph.D. in law.
