Houses of the Morea

The Morea Vernacular Architecture Survey undertaken in the 1990s aimed to identify and investigate vernacular settlements in the Morea - the parts of Greece that were conquered and settled by Crusaders returning from the East at the start of the 13th century. This corpus of information records sites dating from 1205 to 1955, many of which had their origins in the Medieval period. Each entry is accompanied by a location map or plan and/or a drawing of the remains.
