The Player: How I Discovered the Dark Side of the Game

I was in Sweden. It was cold as fuck, suffocatingly dark, and I hadn't seen the sun for weeks. Furthermore, I was working my ass off and was starting to get really tired. Still unpaid, and down to about a third of what I had started with. I chased after girls like a mad dog, and despite getting laid pretty often, I still couldn't get the proximity I really wanted.

...And then Max said: "I was thinking about all kinds of stuff, but it was all pretty dark. And then I look down the window and THE thought creeps in. What would happen if I just jumped?"
