This is a collection of over 560 important and frequently-used Chinese political terms and phrases that appeared between 1949 and 1990. Each entry contains an explanation of the term and its origin, a description of how and under what circumstances the term was used, and a discussion of the changes of meaning over the years, as well as the political and social significance of the words.
