The blooming flower from the balcony and I.
Two separate entities;
it a vegetation me, flesh and blood.
Is there language that binds us?
The flower with its naive face,
gently waving when a breeze shakes it -
is it my imagination or is it speaking to me?
Ella Werker holds a PhD in botanical sciences. She was born in Jerusalem and has lived her entire life in the holy city. A Glimpse at Everything is is her third book of poetry, following the publication of Autumn in 2012 and Reflections at the End of a Season in 2014. Her poems encompass a variety of aspects; nature, landscapes, society and the country. The poet goes within and then externalizes her inner life for the reader, rich in experience, in a poignant and exact voice.
