During World War II, Martin Kieselstein, a young Romanian Jew, was transported to Auschwitz with his family and all the Jews of his hometown.
After surviving the Holocaust, he immigrated to Israel, where he established a family and practices medicine.
Over the years, Dr Kieselstein has used the medium of sculpture to record his pain, despair and miraculous survival. His works reflect a profound emotional outpouring combined with a raw, expressive technique using a range of materials, including stone, metal and glass.
