This is the story of an Everywoman heroine, Helen Brower, and her attempt to pass through seven enchanted doors that can lead her to lasting inner peace, personal power and more.

The story begins simply -- Helen boards a bus in the rain. But a ten-minute encounter on the bus begins an irreversible shift in her reality and launches her journey toward the Land Behind The Doors.

On her quest, the mysterious Firemaker and a menagerie of other colorful and quirky characters assist and encourage Helen as her passage delivers up constant challenges. But her trials are rewarded with precious moments of enlightenment and large doses of practical wisdom. Hers is an adventure in the Holy Grail tradition with a nod to Alice in Wonderland and Dorothy in Oz.

About the Author

Marina R. Walker teaches writing, art and psychology at the university level and holds a Ph.D. in Human Behavior. A practicing psychotherapist, professional writer and working artist, she is also degreed in Art and Clinical Psychology.

In addition to writing, painting and teaching, she guides groups and individuals in The Firemaker Method (TM.
