A popular quote says: Don't judge people because they sin differently than you. Nonetheless, at some point, we have all nominated ourselves judge, jury, and executioner over someone else's situation. Until the shoe is on the other foot, we come to quickly realize that it's lonely out on a limb, when no one seems to understand your struggle and people almost banish you to a dragon-guarded dungeon when you fall. So many of us go through life wearing a facade, toggling between fiction (what people expect) and fact (who we really are when no one is watching) that we become exhausted and give up because we're emotionally spent. Have you ever felt that if you should ever truly unmask, people will stand and judge you and think all manner of evil about you? Well, you're absolutely right, but the same people who sit to judge you are going through the same issues, perhaps even worse. Truthfully, you are not alone, but regardless, there is hope in your dire situation.
