"Me and My Friend" is a semi-bilingual (English-Chinese) book about friendship. It is based on a true friendship that once was. The book has two different parts that are placed side-by-side - the narration describing the friendship in the voice of one friend, and interesting facts about the Chinese language in the voice of the second friend (in the voice of the author, actually). The narration describing the friendship is in English and Chinese. The facts about Chinese language and culture are in English. This book offers a wonderful way to learn Chinese or learn about Chinese. It is also a cute story about how two friends end up being cultural twins with an upside-down twist. The book has simple yet heart-warming illustrations (stick people never looked so good!).
