Paul Bundi Karau emerged the top student nationally in the 2002 Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) examination. At a time when many people believed that top performers were nurtured in top schools, this came as a great shocker. Paul came from an obscure district school in rural Kenya and had never attended a top school. A myth had completely been debunked. How did he do it?
