Adjovi

Poor Adjovi has no one to care for her. She cracks stones and do other jobs to get money to sponsor herself in school with the view to becoming a woman of substance in future. She leads her village school to win the first prize in both the Inter-School Debate Competition and in the Inter-District Drama and Culture Competition. A night before the final competition-the National Drama and Culture Competition-which will give her the Visa to visit the White House in America, Adjovi is arrested and taken to the shrine to go and atone for the supposed offences that killed her father....
